Cedar Lakes Estate Wedding in Port Jervis, NY

Cedar Lakes Estate Wedding

Cedar Lakes Estate is an absolute dream come true. Is it possible to find a romantic natural wedding venue close to New York City? Therefore there is, thanks to the carefully preserved Hudson Valley area. The Hudson Valley follows a 150-mile stretch of the Hudson River that meanders through ten New York counties from Manhattan to Albany.

Over the years, the Hudson Valley has served as the best place to enjoy New York state’s natural beauty. For instance, the winding hiking trails and mesmerizing overlooks showcase the abundant Appalachian valley. Moreover, if you are looking to tie the knot among the trees, the Cedar Lakes Estate wedding venue is the perfect option. In addition, tall evergreens and wildflowers adorn this private venue. Above all, it features its own peaceful lake.

The breathtaking Cedar Lakes Estate wedding venue is located just 70 miles from New York City in the heart of the gorgeous Hudson Valley. You’ll enjoy the scenic two-hour drive upstate. Above all, this unique wedding venue is well worth the trip. As a New York City wedding photographer, I’ve made this trip quite a few times, and I always look forward to it.

Cedar Lakes Estate wedding venue begs for an extended weekend wedding celebration. For instance, it resembles a destination wedding – without travel. There are many activities to keep everyone entertained throughout their stay with plenty of space to spread out. Most importantly, couples can choose between a mountain view or have their wedding ceremony down by the beautiful glistening lake – both are extraordinary, to sum up!

Exclusive New York Outdoor Wedding Venue

From the moment she said, “YES!” to his proposal, Kate and Brandon knew they wanted to get married in a relaxed environment. Meanwhile, they had a clear vision for what they wanted, and Cedar Lakes Estate checked off all their boxes.

In addition, the couple wanted a private venue that would lend itself to sweet, intimate moments without the whole world watching. Meanwhile, this sprawling landscape with the Shawangunk Mountains rolling across the backdrop provided just the atmosphere they needed. Afterwards, from their heart-melting first look to the long-awaited first kiss, Kate and Brandon shared many moments to remember. What a pleasure it was to document it for them!

About the Cedar Lakes Wedding Venue

Originally, the property served as a nonprofit summer camp for inner-city youth. After that, the Karvella family took ownership in 1986, and their two daughters have transformed it into the incredible venue it is today after spending their own memorable childhood there.

Most importantly, their approach is simple: sustainability. In the cabins, the reclaimed interior wood comes from a local dilapidated barn and oak flooring from the grounds’ tall looming trees.

The estate features a 4,000-square-foot organic garden that provides most of their delectable chef-inspired food. In addition, the property offers boutique-style woodsy cabins tucked in across the grounds for a great fresh air getaway. Couples and their guests can relax beneath the pines, fish along the shore, kayak the calm waters, and enjoy culinary creations all weekend long. In addition, summertime, the weather is perfect for catching some rays. In the winter, the property becomes a glistening wonderland of snow. That is to say, the fireplaces and candle chandeliers make it extra cozy and romantic.
